A Lamb Asado in the Alta Mayacamas

Donated by: Obsidian Ridge Vineyard

Head to the highest part of the Mayacamas – the ‘Alta Mayacamas’ – for a lamb roast for 20 atop Obsidian Ridge with incredible views from this ridgetop vineyard located at 2,640’ (a half-mile) in elevation. Spend an afternoon in the vineyard that produced one of the “Year’s Best Cabernet Sauvignon” by Wine & Spirits two years in a row, a “Recommended California Cabernet” by Wine Spectator, and a “Cellar Selection” by Wine Enthusiast.

Enjoy high-elevation wines as blacksmith, chef, and proprietor of Omnivore Salt – Angelo Garro – prepares a traditional “asado” barbecue of locally raised lamb. The lamb will be paired with a dozen magnums from some of California’s premier mountain reds, including Obsidian Ridge, Pride Mountain Vineyards, Kamen Estate Wines, Cardinale, Keenan, Colgin Cellars, and Mayacamas Vineyards among them.

This afternoon lamb roast experience to be scheduled for a mutually agreeable weekend date within one (1) year of the date of the auction.
